We have discovered that many of the listings that appear too good to be true probably are. In many cases, villa brokers will use fake names and creative photography to lure contacts from these sites, so we suggest making sure you're always dealing with the owner direct (VRBO is best for this). If they claim to be the villa "manager", ask if it an exclusive just to be sure you're dealing with the right person.
